Miracles - Part 1

“…nothing is a ‘coincidence.’ It’s all part of creation and God’s plan and our response. We just have to be open to seeing it.”

‘Small miracles attempt to strip away that façade of anonymity, and demonstrate that these seemingly random moments are instead the full and vital expressions of God’s handiwork. In our own personal lives, we have been touched many times by God’s radiance.”                                                                             -Halberstan, Y & Leventhal, J (1997) Small Miracles Extraordinary Coincidences from Everyday Life

We often think about miracles as big things such as the parting of the Red Sea (Exodus 14), Jesus turning water into wine (John2: 1- 11), Jesus restoring sight to the blind man (John 9) or manna falling from heaven (Exodus 16). But a miracle is anything that cannot be explained by natural or scientific laws. We experience miracles every day without even realizing it. We often refer to these as coincidences or luck. Here is a small miracle of mine that I would like to share.

In December of 2016 I did a major surgery. I had frequent doctor visits thereafter. One day in March of 2017 I noticed an abnormal growth. I was worried because I am proned to scar tissues. The location of this growth was not so ideal so I went to see my doctor. It was something that could have been removed in office and required only local anesthetic. It cost me a bit of money. After leaving the doctor's office, I went to the supermarket to purchase a bread. When I reached the cashier I realized that I had no cash in my purse and the transaction did not reach the minimum limit to use a credit card.  I told the cashier that she would have to void the sale as I did not have enough money. A lady in the line behind me offered to pay for it for me. She told the cashier to just add it to her bill. I waited for her to finish cashing and expressed my gratitude. I offered to reimburse her but she refused.

For some reason.. that day has never left my mind. It's not the first that someone has ever been kind to me but I have never seen this woman in my life and somehow it just stood out. I shared the incident with a friend and she told me that I needed to start sharing these stories. Too many times, we take these little things for granted but they happen to remind us that Someone is looking out for us when we least expect and even when we don't deserve it.

Let us stop waiting for the Red Sea to part for us before we can accept that miracles still do happen.

“If you live your life expecting a miracle, you will get it. If we learn to become more aware of and attuned to coincidences [and] be more cognizant of their significance” then every day we will experience miracles.

With this said, I am trying to live in anticipation of miracles every day. More than anything I live in anticipation of my son finding his way and making me proud.

There are some women I know who have turned up their cups waiting expectantly for their miracles to happen. I share some of them with you:

A job that I am happy to go on a daily basis

Getting healthy

Getting a new job.

Finding a partner.

A miracle would be feeling a sense of belonging and being able to achieve my goals which I once thought was impossible

It would be God allowing me help people as much as I can both in health and wealth and positive energy.

my little business take off and i can become a successful business woman.

Long life

Financial Breakthrough

To find true love

A financial blessing

A blessing. God has finally answered my prayers.

A new job opportunity appears and I'm convinced it's the hand of God.

Migration to Canada for me & my boys and marrying the man of my dreams (a pastor)

Financial break through

Seeing things turn around in my home

What would a miracle look like to you right now?
